Mozilla ersetzt Google durch Yahoo!\u00a0als Standard-Suchmaschine<\/strong> in Firefox. Bereits im Dezember 2014 findet die Umstellung im Browser<\/strong> statt, sowohl in der Desktop-Version als auch in der mobilen Ausgabe. Zun\u00e4chst sind allerdings nur Nutzer in den USA<\/strong> betroffen.<\/p>\n

Mozilla: Weg von einer globalen Strategie<\/h3>\n

Mozilla-Chef Chris Beard hat eine f\u00fcnfj\u00e4hrige Partnerschaft<\/strong> mit Yahoo! bekanntgegeben. Google ist seit 2004 die Standard-Einstellung f\u00fcr Suchanfragen gewesen. Nach zehn Jahren plant Mozilla eine neue Strategie<\/strong>: Statt einem globalen Standard f\u00fcr die Suche richtet sich das Unternehmen lokal aus und will sich damit auf Auswahl und Innovation<\/em> konzentrieren. Die Partnerschaften sind daher von Land zu Land unterschiedlich<\/strong>.\"Mozilla<\/p>\n

Yahoo! in den USA<\/h3>\n

US-Amerikanische Nutzer erhalten Yahoo! als Standard-Suchmaschine<\/strong> in Mozilla Firefox. Nach wie vor lassen sich andere Anbieter wie Google, Bing, DuckDuckGo, Amazon, Wikipedia oder Twitter festlegen. Das Hinzuf\u00fcgen weiterer Suchmaschinen ist m\u00f6glich. Yahoo! unterst\u00fctzt ebenfalls die Einstellungen zur Unterdr\u00fcckung<\/strong> der sogenannten Tracking<\/em> (Do Not Track<\/a>) in Firefox.\"Mozilla\"Mozilla<\/p>\n

Internationale Einstellungen<\/h3>\n

Mozilla will international in Firefox noch mehr Suchoptionen anbieten<\/strong>. Insgesamt stehen in 88 verschiedenen Sprachen 61 Suchmaschinen zur Auswahl. Google bleibt nach wie vor eine davon in Firefox. Auch stellt Google weiterhin die M\u00f6glichkeit des Sicheren Surfens<\/em> und Standortfunktionen<\/em> zur Verf\u00fcgung. \"Mozilla<\/p>\n

In Russland wird Yandex zur Standard-Suchmaschine, in China Baidu. F\u00fcr Deutschland gibt es bislang keine l\u00e4nderspezifische Ausnahme<\/strong>. Seit Firefox 33.1<\/a> stellt Mozilla aber DuckDuckGo als eine zus\u00e4tzliche Auswahlm\u00f6glichkeit bereit. Mozilla sucht nach weiteren Partnern, um die Suchm\u00f6glichkeiten und Privatsph\u00e4re-Einstellungen<\/strong> in Firefox zu verbessern.<\/p>\n
