In recent years, the name LEGO has been more popular than ever within the gaming community. In this case, we are not only referring to video games, but to their famous themed sets of pieces. After collaborations with Mario, Sonic, and Animal Crossing, it seems that the link with Nintendo is going one step further. If the rumors are true, we may see a new set inspired by The Legend of Zelda this year.
According to Readwrite, the set in question will focus on the Great Deku Tree, an emblematic element of the saga that has appeared in games like Ocarina of Time and Breath of the Wild.
This is not a new rumor: back in February 2023, some images of how the alleged collection would look like started circulating on the internet. As of today, many of them are no longer available due to LEGO’s own claims. But as they say, the internet never forgets.
The Deku Great Tree kit would showcase the forest guardian in all its splendor, with interchangeable colored leaves to represent its versions in the aforementioned Ocarina of Time and Breath of the Wild.
For the joy of the biggest fans, the set would also include mini versions of a Hylian Shield and an Ocarina, we imagine so that the little LEGO Link can hold them. In total, the set would have about 2,500 pieces and would be sold for about 300 euros. As for its release date, it is expected to go on sale on September 1st of this same year.
At the moment, we don’t have confirmation from LEGO, so we’ll have to wait for Nintendo or LEGO themselves to make an official announcement.
