On your cell phone<\/b><\/h3>\n

Let\u2019s start this guide with your smartphone, where this app is most used. In the case of mobile devices, making it so Facebook Messenger doesn\u2019t detect your view is so easy it might scare you: simply<\/strong>\u00a0<\/span>put it on Airplane Mode<\/b>. Yup, that\u2019s the big reveal. If you put it on this mode, your messages on Facebook Messenger won\u2019t appear as seen.<\/span><\/p>\n

This happens because the app downloads all the messages going to your phone, regardless of whether they are read or not. However, if you enable Airplane Mode and then go into the messaging app, <\/span>without internet there won\u2019t be any read receipt or even the possibility of responding<\/b>. On your PC<\/b><\/h3>\n

We already mentioned that it\u2019s pretty easy to get this unseen message with your smartphone and it\u2019s just as straightforward with your PC, though there are a few additional steps. <\/span><\/p>\n

If you use Google Chrome, what you should do is install the extension <\/span>Unseen<\/b><\/a>. The name is straightforward. It\u00a0blocks received messages so they don\u2019t appear as read when you go into the app.<\/span><\/p>\n
