Yo<\/strong>u need Windows 10 to transfer photos wirelessly. <\/b>If you have it, the next step is to open it, click on the icon with the three dots on the top right and click on <\/span>\u201cSettings.\u201d<\/b><\/p>\n

Go to the bottom and look for an option called <\/span>\u201cPreview: Help Microsoft test the mobile import over Wi-Fi feature.” <\/b>Generally speaking, this button is disabled, so you should switch it on.<\/span><\/p>\n

Let\u2019s go to your cell phone now and download the <\/span>Photos Companion<\/b><\/a> app from the store. It\u2019s available for iOS and Android. <\/span><\/p>\n

Once installed, the first thing you\u2019ll see is <\/span>\u201cSend photos.\u201d <\/b>Do this and the camera will open to scan a QR code. Return to your PC. Once you\u2019re inside Windows Photos, click on \u201cImport\u201d and now you\u2019ll see a field called <\/span>\u201cImport from mobile over Wi-Fi.\u201d <\/b>Click on it and you\u2019ll have the QR code it requested.<\/span><\/p>\n

Finishing up is as easy as selecting the images you want to transfer to your PC, clicking on <\/span>\u201cDone\u201d <\/b>and the Wi-Fi connection will do the rest. As usual, <\/span>the more photos you have, the longer the process will take. <\/b>Things will also slow down if there are a lot of\u00a0people connected to the network you\u2019re using. <\/span><\/p>\n

Remember that this system of transferring photos is already streamlined for the next time you use it, since you only need to directly scan the QR code and click send. Happy transferring!<\/span><\/p>\n
