Once you\u2019re on Google Chrome, click on the three dots on the top right and select <\/span>\u201cSettings.\u201d <\/b>From here, go to the section <\/span>\u201cPrivacy,\u201d<\/b> click on it and look for a box called <\/span>\u201cDo Not Track.\u201d <\/b>Click\u00a0here and enable the option that appears disabled by default. It\u2019s that easy to cut off tracking.<\/span><\/p>\n

Turn off autofill<\/b><\/h2>\n

At some point, you\u2019ve been on a web form and all the fields <\/span>have automatically filled in<\/b> once you type the first letter. This is more common than you think, since we save our passwords and data on our PC and\/or cell phone. <\/span><\/p>\n

On your computer, it\u2019s bad enough, but it\u2019s worse for your cell phone. After all, if it gets stolen, all your information is exposed. Go to <\/span>\u201cSettings\u201d > \u201cAutofill settings\u201d <\/b>and disable<\/strong> \u201cAutofill forms.\u201d <\/b>It\u2019s typically enabled by default, so you just have to click on the button to disable it.<\/span><\/p>\n

Usage statistics and crash reports often include personal information. So, it\u2019s sometimes advisable to disable them. Under \u201cPrivacy,\u201d look for the section <\/span>\u201cUsage statistics and crash reports.\u201d <\/b>Click there and disable them. It will stop sending info to Google, and it may also speed up your smartphone a bit.<\/span><\/p>\n

Website content settings<\/b><\/h2>\n

Did you know you can restrict what parts of your device a website can access? Imagine that you\u2019ve got your microphone unintentionally enabled and these are the default settings.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Go to \u201cSettings\u201d and look for the option called <\/span>\u201cContent settings for websites.\u201d <\/b>Once\u00a0you\u2019ve accessed it, a list of options will appear on your screen, including\u00a0<\/span>permissions<\/b>.
