With therapists charging by the hour for long rambling conversations about how who you were effects who you are and AI text bots desperate for the human interaction, they need to learn it was only a matter of time before an AI therapist hit the scene<\/strong>. Meet T.E.V.I, the Textpert Empathetic Virtual Interface, currently being developed by a team of UCLA researchers.<\/p>\n

Tevi has a simple text-based interface<\/strong>. You type in your query and then Tevi responds by giving you different results and trying to classify your query relating to relationships, socializing, health, dating, or other topics<\/strong>. You can also ask Tevi to talk to you and offer some thoughts on your query.<\/p>\n

Tevi should be able to participate in full conversations by the end of 2018 and will cost $9.99 a month<\/strong>, which is a lot less than a human therapist would cost. Do you think Tevi could help?
