If you regularly use <\/span>WhatsApp<\/b> and don\u2019t know about WhatsApp Web, we\u2019ll say this: start using it now. The popular cell phone messaging app released a PC version about two years ago. This was one of the most requested features by users of this app. <\/span><\/p>\n

Though usage has spread across the world, WhatsApp Web still has lots to improve, and <\/span>notifications<\/b> are one of the main problem areas. That\u2019s why today at Softonic, we\u2019ll give you some tips for <\/span>fixing notifications that aren\u2019t working too well<\/b>. <\/span><\/p>\n

Enable sound<\/b><\/h3>\n

In general, sound is enabled by default on WhatsApp Web, but just in case, we\u2019ll give you an overview. Enabling sound for notifications is one of the best ways to know if somebody is talking to you on WhatsApp. To do this, just click on the three dots and go to \u201cSettings.\u201d Look for the option <\/span>\u201cSound.\u201d<\/b> If you check it, every time you receive a message, a little beep will notify you.<\/span><\/p>\n

Desktop alerts<\/b><\/h3>\n

This is the second option after enabling sounds: <\/span>desktop alerts. <\/b>If you looked carefully at the options under \u201cSettings,” you\u2019ll see that there\u2019s one called \u201cDesktop alerts.\u201d Check it if you want to be shown a small pop-up in the lower right of your screen. Obviously, it reveals that you\u2019ve been sent a message, so it doesn\u2019t provide much privacy.<\/span><\/p>\n

If you notice the box isn\u2019t working correctly, remember that you can also enable desktop alerts from <\/span>Google Chrome<\/b>.<\/span><\/p>\n

Connectivity <\/b><\/h3>\n

We\u2019ve already mentioned two tips for receiving notifications, so our last one is aimed at getting them to work well: <\/span>having a good connection.<\/b> WhatsApp Web and WhatsApp Mobile exchange info in real-time, so it\u2019s recommended that both tools are connected to a high-quality network (even better if it\u2019s the same one). <\/span><\/p>\n

Likewise, WhatsApp has two versions, a web client to use with a browser and another to install on Windows. After two years of using them, we’ll say that <\/span>the browser tool works better than the installable one. <\/b>However, this may be a matter of personal experience.<\/span><\/p>\n\n
