Satirical Facebook app <a href=\"http:\/\/apps.facebook.com\/cowclicker\/\"><strong>Cow Clicker<\/strong><\/a> does just that. You have a cow &#8211; click it, wait six hours, then click again!<\/p>\n<p>Just like FarmVille, you can invite your friends, or just <strong>bug the hell out of them<\/strong> by publishing news stories about it. Don&#8217;t want to wait? Just buy in-game currency &#8211; mooney &#8211; with real money and you can get clicks quicker, and fancier cows too!<\/p>\n<p>Cow Clicker is a great joke, and seems to be getting pretty popular already despite being a critique of the social click-a-thon games. Creator Ian Bogost has a <a href=\"http:\/\/www.bogost.com\/blog\/cow_clicker_1.shtml\">really interesting post<\/a> about how he came to make the game, and why he sees games like Mafia Wars as problematic.<\/p>\n<p>As a pretty old school gamer, I can&#8217;t understand games that don&#8217;t have a skill element to them, and I agree with Bogost that they seem to be compulsive in very negative ways. Still, I think Cow Clicker&#8217;s pretty cool!
