A bug<\/strong> has appeared for some after updating their iPhone to iOS 4.2<\/strong><\/a> – iPod libraries disappear! <\/strong>Considering how much music you might be storing on your phone, that could be a major pain. However, it doesn’t affect all iPhones and, better still, people on the Apple forums<\/strong><\/a> have already come up with a fix.<\/p>\n If you open the iPod on your iPhone and it claims there is no content:<\/p>\n – Connect it<\/strong> to a computer with iTunes<\/strong><\/p>\n –<\/strong> Play a song<\/strong> from the iPhone in iTunes<\/p>\n –<\/strong> Eject and restart<\/strong> the iPhone<\/p>\n –<\/strong> Open your iPod library<\/strong> again, and you will see a message about updating the library, after which your media will be back!<\/p>\n I didn’t do this on my personal Mac, but an office PC. You may feel safer using the computer you sync your iPhone with!
