When you get bombarded with annoying messages, you can delete them one-by-one&#8230; but there is also a more permanent solution.<\/p>\n<h2>This is how to block messages from certain numbers on your Android smartphone<\/h2>\n<p>Fortunately, Google has laid out a fairly comprehensive <a href=\"https:\/\/support.google.com\/messages\/answer\/7029021?hl=en\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">tutorial<\/a> on the simplest way to block messages on Android.<\/p>\n<p>To block messages coming through to your Android phone you need to:<\/p>\n<ol>\n<li>Unlock your Android device and open the <strong>Messages<\/strong> app.<\/li>\n<li>Scroll through all the messages in your inbox and <strong>hold your finger on the conversation you\u2019d like to block, until it is highlighted.<\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter wp-image-133284\" src=\"https:\/\/articles-img.sftcdn.net\/sft\/articles\/auto-mapping-folder\/sites\/3\/2021\/04\/Android_block_messages_tutorial_aqgqo6.jpg\" alt=\"How to block contacts and messages on Android\" width=\"350\" height=\"623\" \/><\/p>\n<ol start=\"3\">\n<li>Tap the <strong>block icon<\/strong> found in the top right of the screen.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p>The above method will stop all messages coming through to your inbox from the numbers you block.
