Bookmarks on our browser<\/strong> are a necessity. Whether we are at home or our office, the first thing we do is open all our bookmarks.<\/p>\n

When we get a new computer, we have to go through the drag of resaving all of our old bookmarks. With that hassle, we have to remember those obscure URLs and dig through emails to find that one oddball website that we need to do our job.<\/p>\n

If you’re using Chrome, you can log into your Gmail account and your bookmarks will be synchronized. However,\u00a0\u00a0Firefox<\/strong>\u00a0users will have to first\u00a0export the bookmark file<\/strong>\u00a0or use its\u00a0Firefox Sync function<\/strong>.\u00a0If you do not know how to do it, we’ve got you covered:<\/p>\n

How to import Firefox bookmarks<\/h2>\n

If you know how to export your bookmarks but you are not sure about\u00a0how to make your browser import them,<\/strong>\u00a0read on.<\/p>\n

Importing bookmarks file<\/h3>\n

Importing the bookmark file in the browser is really simple.\u00a0First,\u00a0open Firefox<\/strong>\u00a0and make sure that the menu bar is visible.\u00a0If it does not appear,\u00a0right-click<\/strong>\u00a0on the\u00a0top margin<\/strong>\u00a0of Firefox and click on\u00a0“Menu Bar<\/strong>.”<\/p>\n

After that, click on\u00a0Bookmarks<\/strong>\u00a0and then on\u00a0Show all bookmarks.<\/strong>\u00a0Alternatively, you can press the\u00a0Ctrl + Shift + B<\/strong>\u00a0keys.<\/p>\n

In the Library\u00a0<\/b>window that pops up, click on\u00a0“Import and Backup”<\/strong>\u00a0followed by\u00a0“Import bookmarks.”<\/strong><\/p>\n

Select the\u00a0bookmarks.html<\/strong>\u00a0file\u00a0and click\u00a0“Open<\/strong>\u00a0.”\u00a0<\/strong>Once you have done these steps, you will see how your favorite bookmarks will appear in your Firefox browser.<\/p>\n

Using Firefox Sync<\/h3>\n

A second option to recover your bookmarks is using\u00a0Firefox Sync.<\/strong>\u00a0This function is really useful if we are looking to access our bookmarks from\u00a0mobile devices or tablets<\/strong>.\u00a0To use Firefox Sync, we must first make sure that our bookmarks have been synchronized with the browser account.<\/p>\n

To do this, click on\u00a0“Tools”<\/strong>\u00a0and then“Sign in to Sync<\/strong>.” If you do not have a Firefox Sync account yet, follow the instructions on the screen.<\/p>\n

Once done,\u00a0select the data you want to synchronize<\/strong>\u00a0with your Firefox account and click on “Save settings.”<\/strong><\/p>\n

To import your bookmarks you will only have to connect your mobile, tablet or different PC to Facebook Sync.\u00a0Click again on “Tools”<\/strong>\u00a0and “Sign in to Sync”<\/strong>\u00a0and finally click on “Connect<\/strong>.”<\/p>\n

Enter your\u00a0Firefox credentials<\/strong>\u00a0and click on “Log in.”\u00a0<\/strong>Once you have done these steps, your device will have\u00a0synchronized with Firefox Sync.<\/strong><\/p>\n

Using Firefox Sync has a lot of added benefits. If you add a new bookmark, you can sync it again, and the new bookmark will appear on the rest of your devices as well.\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n
