It’s 1 a.m. and you’re in bed. Your phone gets a notification. It’s your friend and they just tagged you in a photo. As you unlock your phone to check the notification, you are blinded by the piercing white light from Facebook.<\/p>\n

Well, it looks like your eyes are going to be saved as Facebook will soon have a dark mode.\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n

This new feature was discovered by Jane Manchun Wong<\/a>, a sleuth known for uncovering updates for apps like Facebook and Twitter.<\/p>\n

As you can see in the tweet above, the text will be white on a black background. There is no official release date for dark mode. Wong discovered the update by looking at the code in the Android app.\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n
