Fortunately, PDF documents with e-signatures are now widely accepted and deemed legal and binding. All it takes is a few quick clicks of a button, and your contract or document is legit.<\/span><\/p>\n

What is a PDF document?<\/span><\/h2>\n

Portable Document Format files, or in short PDF, is a file format used to send printable documents on the web securely. Once you\u2019ve formatted a document into a PDF file, only the file creator can make changes to it, making it a secure method of sending confidential information via email. You\u2019ll recognize it by the .pdf at the end of a file name. <\/span><\/p>\n

How to add a signature to PDF<\/span><\/h2>\n

If you need to place a signature on a PDF document, here\u2019s the process:<\/span><\/p>\n

  1. Go to <\/span>Adobe Acrobat Reader<\/span> on your device and open it.<\/span><\/li>\n
  2. From the \u2018Tools\u2019 option, choose the \u2018Fill and Sign\u2019 icon. <\/span><\/li>\n
  3. Click on the \u2018Sign\u2019 icon and then choose \u2018Add Signature.\u2019<\/span><\/li>\n
  4. You\u2019ll see a popup on your screen with three options: \u2018Type,\u2019 \u2018Draw,\u2019 and \u2018Image.\u2019 Choose a method and add your signature. Then press the \u2018Apply\u2019 icon.<\/span><\/li>\n
  5. You can drag, position, and resize the signature on your PDF file.<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

    If your PC or laptop is running on Windows 7 or earlier programs, you\u2019ll need to manually download a PDF reader program such as Adobe Reader to access PDF files. You can also try <\/span>Foxit PDF<\/span> or <\/span>Javelin PDF.<\/span><\/a> Using PDF is free, fast, and safe.<\/span><\/p>\n
