It also recommends uninstalling any add-ons that you no longer use, as they could also be responsible for blocking things up.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/addons.mozilla.org\/en-US\/firefox\/performance\/#addon-11\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-16309\" title=\"ff_list_long\" src=\"https:\/\/articles-img.sftcdn.net\/sft\/articles\/auto-mapping-folder\/sites\/3\/2011\/04\/ff_list_long.png\" alt=\"\" width=\"600\" height=\"178\" srcset=\"https:\/\/articles-img.sftcdn.net\/auto-mapping-folder\/sites\/3\/2011\/04\/ff_list_long.png 600w, https:\/\/articles-img.sftcdn.net\/auto-mapping-folder\/sites\/3\/2011\/04\/ff_list_long-300x89.png 300w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 600px) 100vw, 600px\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>So who are the biggest culprits?<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><a href=\"http:\/\/foxlingo.en.softonic.com\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\"><strong>FoxLingo<\/strong><\/a>, a translation add-on that James rates pretty highly. As add-ons go, it&#8217;s a good one, but with all the power of <a href=\"http:\/\/translate.google.com\/#\">Google Translate<\/a> just a click away, we&#8217;re not sure that anyone really needs a translation add-on anymore.<\/li>\n<li><strong><a href=\"http:\/\/firebug.en.softonic.com\/\">Firebug<\/a><\/strong>, a developer&#8217;s tool that the average user is unlikely to miss. If you&#8217;re a professional looking for a replacement,your best options are to ask around on development forums. In the meantime, try <strong><a href=\"http:\/\/fiddler-http-debugger.en.softonic.com\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Fiddler<\/a><\/strong>.<\/li>\n<li><strong><a href=\"https:\/\/addons.mozilla.org\/en-US\/firefox\/addon\/aniweather\/\">AniWeather<\/a><\/strong>, a cute animated weather forecast add-on. In fact, it&#8217;s probably the animation that slows it down so much. Instead of clogging Firefox up, then, why not take a look at a nice desktop version? If appearance is high on your list, definitely check out <strong><a href=\"http:\/\/meteo-fusion.en.softonic.com\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Meteo Fusion<\/a><\/strong> or <strong><a href=\"http:\/\/yowindow.en.softonic.com\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">YoWindow<\/a><\/strong> &#8211; you won&#8217;t be disappointed.<\/li>\n<li><strong><a href=\"http:\/\/foxlingo.en.softonic.com\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">FlashGot<\/a><\/strong>, a mythical download helper. It&#8217;s pretty popular, so its inclusion on the list is likely to upset quite a few people! If it just has to go however, you&#8217;re in luck. Just the other day we wrote an article about the best download helpers, and luckily for you, lots of them integrate completely with Firefox. Check them out <strong><a href=\"http:\/\/onsoftware.en.softonic.com\/top-list-download-managers\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">here<\/a><\/strong>!<\/li>\n<li><strong><a href=\"http:\/\/foxclocks.en.softonic.com\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">FoxClocks<\/a><\/strong>, a little extension that adds a selection of world clocks to Firefox. This is one of the easiest replacements to make &#8211; even Windows will let you add multiple world times to the task bar in Windows Vista and 7 (<em>right-click on the clock &gt; Adjust Date\/Time &gt; Additional Clocks and add the ones you want<\/em>). Even if you want a separate app, you&#8217;re spoiled for choice &#8211; what about <strong><a href=\"http:\/\/clock.en.softonic.com\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Clock!<\/a><\/strong> or <strong><a href=\"http:\/\/\">ClocX<\/a><\/strong>?<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>There are 50 add-ons on Mozilla&#8217;s list, but you&#8217;re sure to be able to find a replacement if you decide to uninstall.
