{"id":166618,"date":"2021-05-06T10:53:25","date_gmt":"2021-05-06T08:53:25","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/sftarticles.wpenginepowered.com\/en\/?p=166618"},"modified":"2025-07-01T21:07:18","modified_gmt":"2025-07-02T04:07:18","slug":"how-to-archive-assignments-in-google-classroom-in-4-easy-steps","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/cms-articles.softonic.io\/en\/how-to-archive-assignments-in-google-classroom-in-4-easy-steps\/","title":{"rendered":"How to Archive Assignments in Google Classroom in 4 Easy Steps"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Unfortunately, Google Classroom does not yet have the feature to archive these older assignments for <a href=\"https:\/\/google-classroom.en.softonic.com\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Windows<\/a>, <a href=\"https:\/\/google-classroom.en.softonic.com\/mac\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Mac<\/a>, <a href=\"https:\/\/google-classroom.en.softonic.com\/android\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Android<\/a> and <a href=\"https:\/\/google-classroom.en.softonic.com\/iphone\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">iPhone<\/a>. However, you can do a simple thing to hide these assignments in an organized way so that you can refer back to them when needed. Don\u2019t delete assignments as they are very hard to recover. Let\u2019s look at how you can archive your older assignments.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>How to Archive Assignments in Google Classroom<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Step 1: Create a New \u2018Archive\u2019 Class<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Open Google Classroom on your chosen device or through the web-based version. On the main page of your Classroom, click on the + sign to the left side of the screen and choose \u2018Add New Class\u2019. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Set up a new class titled \u2018Archive\u2019 and then click on \u2018Create\u2019. In the drop-down list that appears, click on \u2018Topic\u2019 and add a name for that topic. Make it easy to identify by using an identifier such as subject name, ex. This will open a window showing all your classes. From here, you can go into the correct class and then select the assignment you want to reuse, or in this case, archive. Once you click on reuse, the assignment will open, and you will see all of the data attached.
