uTorrent is one of the most popular BitTorrents available that enables you to download movies, music, and software torrents on Windows<\/a> and Mac<\/a> computers. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

However, there may come a time when you decide that you no longer need the program and have to uninstall it from your PC. We\u2019re going to show you how on both platforms.<\/p>\n\n\n

  1. Uninstalling uTorrent from Windows<\/h2>\"How

    – Press Ctrl+Shift+Esc and select open the Task Manager.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

    – Select all tasks related to uTorrent and <\/span>click<\/span> on \u2018End Task\u2019.<\/span><\/p>\n

    – Click the \u2018Start icon at the bottom left of your desktop.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

    – Then <\/span>click<\/span> \u2018All Apps\u2019.<\/span><\/p>\n

    – Scroll through the list until you find <\/span>uTorrent<\/span>, click on it and then select \u2018<\/span>Uninstall<\/span>\u2019.<\/span><\/p>\n

    – Click \u2018Start\u2019, and then \u2018Control Panel\u2019, then click on \u2018Appearances and Personalization\u2019, next click on \u2018Folder Explorer Options\u2019 and finally on the \u2018View\u2019 tab.<\/span><\/p>\n

    – Beneath the \u2018Advanced Settings\u2019 window, check the \u2018Show Hidden Files and Folders option and click \u2018Ok\u2019.<\/span><\/p>\n

    – Open the file explorer, and in the search bar, type \u2018<\/span>uTorrent<\/span>\u2019.<\/span><\/p>\n

    • Permanently delete any folders that come up related to <\/span>uTorrent<\/span>.<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/div><\/li>

    • Uninstalling uTorrent from Mac<\/h2>\"How

      – Open the Utilities folder from the launchpad and <\/span>click<\/span> on \u2018Activity Monitor\u2019.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

      – Select \u2018All Processes\u2019 and scroll through the list.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

      – Select any processes associated with <\/span>uTorrent<\/span> and <\/span>click<\/span> on the \u2018Quit Process\u2019 icon in the left corner of the window.<\/span><\/p>\n

      – Drag the <\/span>uTorrent<\/span> application into the trash to <\/span>uninstall<\/span> the program.<\/span><\/p>\n

      – Open the Finder and then <\/span>click<\/span> on the \u2018Go\u2019 menu.<\/span><\/p>\n

      – In the drop-down list, <\/span>click<\/span> on \u2018Go to Folder\u2019.<\/span><\/p>\n

      – In the search window, type in \u2018~\/Library\u2019.<\/span><\/p>\n

      – Search for any folders related to <\/span>uTorrent<\/span> and drag them into the trash.<\/span><\/p>\n
