Errors are very frustrating to deal with, especially if they pop up out of the blue when you plan to work or do a project. Unfortunately, Adobe Photoshop is not free from errors. Adobe Photoshop is linked to the Creative Cloud,<\/a> and this may cause an error 16 to pop up. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

This error usually refers to permission issues and asks users to uninstall and reinstall the program on their Windows<\/a> or Mac<\/a> computer. However, there is a way you can solve this error without having to uninstall and reinstall the program.<\/p>\n\n\n

  1. On Windows 10<\/h2>\"How

    – Open \u2018File Explorer.<\/span><\/p>\n

    – Click on the \u2018View\u2019 tab, and then select \u2018Hidden Items.\u2019<\/span><\/p>\n

    – Right-click on \u2018Adobe PCD.\u2019<\/span><\/p>\n

    – Click \u2018Security and then choose \u2018Edit.<\/span><\/p>\n

    – Now set administrator\u2019s permissions to \u2018Full Control\u2019 and click on \u2018OK.\u2019<\/span><\/p>\n

    – Now click the \u2018Advanced tab\u2019.<\/span><\/p>\n

    – Select \u2018Replace all child object permission entries with inheritable permission entries from this object,\u2019 and click on \u2018OK\u2019 and then \u2018Yes\u2019 to save the settings.<\/span><\/p>\n

    – Go back to the \u2018File Explorer.\u2019<\/span><\/p>\n

    • Repeat steps three to seven with the SLStore <\/span>folder<\/span>.<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/div><\/li>

    • On Mac<\/h2>\"How

      – Use the finder to go to Library\/Application Support\/Adobe\/SLStore.<\/span><\/p>\n

      – Control-click the <\/span>folder<\/span> and select \u2018Get Info\u2019.<\/span><\/p>\n

      – Expand \u2018Sharing and Permissions\u2019.<\/span><\/p>\n

      – Click the lock icon at the bottom, type in your password when asked and click on \u2018OK.\u2019<\/span><\/p>\n

      – Set system permissions to \u2018Read\/Write, admin to \u2018Read\/Write,\u2019 and finally everyone to \u2018Read\/Write.\u2019<\/span><\/p>\n

      – Click the gear icon and select \u2018Apply to enclosed items.<\/span><\/p>\n

      – Close the \u2018Get Info\u2019 window.<\/span><\/p>\n
