Have you started working in Microsoft Excel? If you have, then formulas might still seem a little intimidating to you, but they are actually very useful and if you keep a few simple things in mind, can even be easy to use. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Excel is very useful for storing, manipulating, and presenting various forms of data on your Windows<\/a> or Mac <\/a>computer. Excel has a useful formula wizard that can assist you in using various functions.<\/p>\n\n\n

  1. Access the Formula Wizard<\/h2>\"How

    When you are in your spreadsheet, click on the <\/span>cell<\/span> you want to enter the <\/span>formula<\/span> into and type =. <\/span>Formulas<\/span> always start with a =. Next click on the <\/span>formula<\/span> icon in the top bar represented by the <\/span>fx<\/span><\/i> symbol.<\/span><\/p>\n<\/div><\/li>

  2. Choose the Formula<\/h2>\"How

    The next window will show the available <\/span>functions<\/span>. You can choose your <\/span>formula<\/span> from the list if you already know what it is, or you can type the description into the box and see which <\/span>formula<\/span> Excel<\/span> recommends.<\/span><\/p>\n<\/div><\/li>

  3. Insert Function Arguments<\/h2>\"How

    You will be taken to a new window, sometimes called the <\/span>formula<\/span> palette, where you have to input the data from your spreadsheet. The wizard tells you what information needs to be inserted.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

    – Next to the argument click on the grid icon with the red arrow to be taken to your spreadsheet.<\/span><\/p>\n

      The formula palette will show you a description of the <\/span>formula<\/span> in the window, as well as an <\/span>example<\/span> of the formula and the result at the bottom so that you can check your information easily.<\/span><\/p>\n<\/div><\/li><\/ol><\/div>
