This suite of tools will allow you to create your own <a href=\"http:\/\/portal-2.en.softonic.com\/\"><strong>Portal 2<\/strong><\/a> levels!<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-17027\" title=\"p21\" src=\"https:\/\/articles-img.sftcdn.net\/sft\/articles\/auto-mapping-folder\/sites\/3\/2011\/05\/p21.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"600\" height=\"316\" srcset=\"https:\/\/articles-img.sftcdn.net\/auto-mapping-folder\/sites\/3\/2011\/05\/p21.jpg 600w, https:\/\/articles-img.sftcdn.net\/auto-mapping-folder\/sites\/3\/2011\/05\/p21-300x158.jpg 300w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 600px) 100vw, 600px\" \/><\/p>\n<p>There is a catch, however. These tools are based on the ones <strong>Valve<\/strong> used to create the game itself, and as soon as you launch the app it&#8217;s obvious: <strong>Portal 2 Authoring Tools are not for casual users<\/strong>. It includes the <strong>Hammer World Edito<\/strong>r, which allows you to create levels or edit current ones. There is also a <strong>Model Viewer<\/strong> and <strong>Face Poser<\/strong>. It&#8217;s pretty complicated stuff, but if you&#8217;ve got the time and dedication, there is a good &#8216;Getting Started&#8217; guide, and some example content.<\/p>\n<p>Portal 2 Authoring Tools are <strong>PC only<\/strong>, and require a copy of the Portal 2 to download and use.
