Adobe Premiere Pro<\/strong><\/a> is the perfect video editing tool for producers and content creators. The Adobe Creative Cloud app<\/strong> provides you with everything you need to work with, including effects, transitions, color adjustments, layers, and filters. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

You can change the parameters of your video project as you go along. One is the ratio of width and height, known as the aspect ratio. Video frames have a <\/strong>Frame aspect ratio. Pixels that compose the frame have a Pixel aspect ratio (PAR). When you start a project in Premiere Pro, you set the frame and pixel aspects and cannot change them. But while you\u2019re working on a sequence, you can change the aspect ratio<\/strong> and use items created with other aspect ratios.<\/p>\n\n\n

How to change aspect ratio in Premiere Pro<\/h2>\n\n\n

  1. Access Sequence Setting<\/h2>\"How

    Right-click the new sequence and choose <\/span>Sequence Setting<\/b>. Choose Square Pixels for the pixel aspect ratio.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<\/div><\/li>

  2. Target the aspect ratio<\/h2>\"How

    You can change your aspect ratio in the middle of editing in Premiere Pro.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

    From the \u201cProject Panel,\u201d use the feature called \u2018<\/span>Auto Reframe Sequence<\/b>,\u2019 which provides different aspect ratios you can select from, like square 1:1, vertical 9:16, horizontal 16:9, and custom if you want cinema widescreen. Choose the \u2018<\/span>Target Aspect Ratio\u2019 <\/b>you want, say, vertical 9:16. Motion tracking and clip nesting should be on default. Click on \u2018<\/span>Create<\/b>.\u2019 Premiere Pro will automatically create a duplicate sequence with the updated aspect ratio.<\/span><\/p>\n<\/div><\/li>

  3. Adjust the frame<\/h2>\"How

    Now go through your video clips to adjust the framing. Use the \u2018<\/span>Motion\u2019<\/b> parameters in the \u2018<\/span>Effect Controls<\/b>\u2019 panel. If the motion effects are disabled because of the \u2018Auto Reframe Sequence\u2019, click on \u2018fx\u2019 to enable them. Now you can adjust the framing using \u2018Position\u2019 and \u2018Scale\u2019.<\/span><\/p>\n<\/div><\/li><\/ol><\/div>
