There are some exciting rumors about God of War<\/a>. According to the online news outlet, Deadline<\/a>, who first brought up the rumor, Amazon Studios and Sony\u2019s Playstation Productions unit are working on a new God of War release<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

This latest rumored release is not another game in the Sony franchise but rather a live-action series adaptation <\/strong>of the popular game. Deadline also reports that Mark Fergus and Hawk Ostby are involved in this production. This team is better known for their work on \u2018The Expanse\u2019 and \u2018Children of Men.\u2019 Unfortunately, this was the only information that Deadline had, and both Sony and Amazon declined to comment on the truth of this rumor.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

God of War is one of Sony\u2019s longest-standing franchises, with the last installment released in 2018 and a new release scheduled for some time this year. God of War remains one of the top game franchises<\/strong> and is available across multiple platforms, including PC, Playstation, and Xbox. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

If this rumor is true, it will make God of War the fourth game getting a screen adaptation<\/strong> from Sony\u2019s recently established Playstation Productions unit. At the moment, this new division has three productions underway. This production unit is also not working alone. For the most notable project, Playstation Productions is working closely with HBO. This project is a television series adaptation of Naughty Dog\u2019s \u2018The Last of Us\u2019 game that will star Pedro Pascal, Bella Ramsey, and Nick Offerman.
