The Pokemon franchise has been entertaining fans for many years. We\u2019ve seen more Pokemon game releases<\/strong> in the last few years than ever before. While some follow the traditional Gen one Nintendo style and gameplay, others, like Pokemon GO, have experimented more<\/strong> to see what\u2019s possible. <\/p>\n\n\n

Recently, a fan of Pokemon Red and Blue<\/strong>, the original Nintendo game, recreated the game<\/strong> to reimagine the classic artwork of the game for a modern style that we\u2019ll likely never see. And the effects are quite beautiful. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Twitter account @pokeyugami defines itself as a space where fans can create art surrounding a Pokemon theme. Here, a clip of the fan-made game<\/strong> was first posted. We see Red, the protagonist, walking through the infamous Viridian Forest<\/strong> from the original game in the clip. This fan-created version doesn\u2019t feature the traditional top-down 2D style as most of the original games, nor does it have the 3D style from popular remakes like Pokemon Let\u2019s Go Pikachu and Eevee. Instead, it blends the styles with beautifully painted artwork over 3D models.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In this version of the game, we can see a few pokemon<\/strong> in the background. A Caterpie, Weedle, and even a Pikachu<\/strong> eating an Oran berry can be seen. Hidden in the grass, we can also see a Pokeball before Red makes eye contact with a Youngster Trainer.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Unfortunately, this clip is fan-made and has no association<\/strong> with Nintendo or The Pokemon Company. As such, it\u2019s highly unlikely that we\u2019ll ever see the game. Unless either studio is so inspired by the artwork. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Lately, we\u2019ve seen the Pokemon games going in a few different directions<\/strong>. The Let\u2019s Go games are already very different from the originals. Pokemon Go introduced a completely new playing style, and Pokemon Legends: Arceus throws players back to the past. There are even Pokemon-themed NFTs. However, the next Pokemon game, Pokemon Scarlet and Violet, will return to the traditional gameplay but an open world<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n
