Google Workspace is growing in stature every day. It still has a long way to go to catch up to Microsoft 365 as the productivity suite of choice for most businesses, but we are regularly able to report on new and updated features that build out its capabilities. An important part of any worker\u2019s life is their schedule and today we have news of updated scheduling tools for Google Workspace users<\/strong>. Let\u2019s see what they\u2019ve done.<\/p>\n\n\n

In a new Workspace Updates blog post<\/a>, Google has released details of a new appointment scheduling feature that will allow people to better organize their workdays.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Of the new feature, Google said:<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cStarting today, we\u2019re making it easier to share appointment schedules on web through a new Share button. This update allows appointment hosts to copy a short link to all appointment schedules or a specific booking page, and add HTML to embed a booking page on their website.\u201d<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n

One of the aspects of the update is the ability to add scheduling items and share availability with people from other organizations.<\/strong> The new booking page can be used by external stakeholders, clients, and partners, meaning it offers a great way to think and plan beyond the confines of your own company or organization.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Google says that there is no admin control for this feature<\/strong> meaning all eligible Google Workspace users will be able to take advantage of it. It will be available to Google Workspace Business Standard, Business Plus, Enterprise Standard, Enterprise Plus, Education Fundamentals, Education Standard, Education Plus, the Teaching and Learning Upgrade, and Nonprofits customers. It will not be available to any users working on personal accounts.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

The rollout pace for rapid release domains is 15 days July 12 and the rollout pace for scheduled release domains is 15 days from July 27.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
