Freighters were added into the science fiction fantasy game in its very first free update in 2016, Foundation. Endurance seeks to build on the, excuse the pun, Foundation of the first free update by adding more functionality and fleshing out<\/strong> the entire experience in preparation for the game\u2019s 6th anniversary. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

As written by game creator Sean Murray, \u2018We introduced the ability to own and captain freighters in our very first update, and it\u2019s something we\u2019ve been excited to take the opportunity to completely reinvent. Captaining a fleet to explore the unknown has always been core to that fantasy of science fiction, from Battlestar to Starfleet, and it\u2019s a huge fan favorite.\u2019 <\/p>\n\n\n\n
