Instagram says that it will immediately hide these posts from view on the Explore tab, but it also stands to reason that the social network will make note of that data elsewhere too. We’ll have to wait and see about that latter point, however. There is also a Not Interested control on your feed also.

The second feature will straight off the bat have a direct effect on your Instagram feed. You will also be able to flag up content relating to phrases you don’t want to see. Instagram describes the feature as such:

“We’ll also soon start testing the ability to tell Instagram you don’t want to see suggested posts with certain words, phrases or emojis in the caption or hashtags. Whether you’re seeing something that’s not relevant, or have moved on from something you used to like, you can use this feature to stop seeing content that’s not interesting to you.”

Two very positive moves from Instagram there that should see the trendy app regain some of the love it lost recently when it began copying TikTok. In other recent Instagram News, did you know that Instagram now has a map search feature to rival Google Maps?

Recently, Instagram caused quite an uproar when it updated the Instagram feed to be more like TikTok.
