No matter how immersive the world is or how <strong>groundbreaking<\/strong> the graphics are, without good dialogue, adventure and exploration can be far less compelling. Going on what we know as the classic<strong> Bethesda-style<\/strong> dialogue setup, we can assume that the player will look directly at the speaking character before responding with numerous unique dialogue options.\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-embed aligncenter is-type-video is-provider-youtube wp-block-embed-youtube wp-embed-aspect-16-9 wp-has-aspect-ratio\"><div class=\"wp-block-embed__wrapper\">\n<iframe loading=\"lazy\" title=\"Constellation Questions: Talking Starfield with Todd Howard\" width=\"840\" height=\"473\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/vDNimT0O8LE?feature=oembed\" frameborder=\"0\" allow=\"accelerometer; autoplay; clipboard-write; encrypted-media; gyroscope; picture-in-picture\" allowfullscreen><\/iframe>\n<\/div><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">However, you\u2019ll likely have a lot more options than in previous Bethesda entries. In his interview, Howard revealed that Starfield currently contains in excess of <strong>250,000 lines of dialogue<\/strong>. Just to put that number into perspective, it\u2019s more than double the lines of dialogue in Fallout 4. Given that the protagonist in Starfield is silent, none of these will be delivered by the player.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Howard also lets us see an example conversation between the player and either a pirate or raider character. This gives us a good look at what kind of dynamics we can expect to see when the game launches. One of the most interesting aspects of this reveal is that the player has the ability to smooth-talk whoever they\u2019re talking to. Additionally, the player is also limited in how many times they can try and persuade someone.
