Well, Elon Musk is intent on keeping his promise to Twitt<\/a>e<\/a>r<\/a> members. Those of you who have Twitter Blue Memberships will be able to upload much longer videos than those who don\u2019t. Also, more people will see your posts and replies if you have that covered verification badge. Perhaps he\u2019s doing so as a way to prove that he deserves to remain as CEO of the platform<\/a>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

For Twitter Blue<\/a> subscribers, you can now upload an hour-long video of up to 2 GB. At the moment, it\u2019s not available for iOS or Android apps, which means you\u2019ll need to do it from your PC. While this extra time limit<\/strong> is appreciated, the file size still means you might not be able to upload a massive video with plenty of layers and visual content.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Let\u2019s look at the positive side. While non-members can only upload ten minutes of video, the hour length<\/strong> gives you more time to be creative. You can post those gaming retrospectives you\u2019ve been working on, or give your opinion on the latest Twitter trends in a lengthy rant. What I don\u2019t get is why Elon is going against the trend<\/a> at the moment.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

We\u2019ve seen how popular short-form content<\/strong> has been on platforms like TikTok<\/a>, Instagram<\/a> Reels, and YouTube<\/a> Shorts. They keep our minds engaged, and we can watch plenty of videos within an hour instead of one. For some reason, Elon thinks that giving Tweeters a chance to upload longer videos will make Twitter more popular.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Then again, Twitter members have been asking for longer videos. It will be interesting to see how Elon deals with copyright issues when he realizes that more people are uploading movies onto the platform.
