While many top games were released in 2022, some outstanding titles are releasing in 2023<\/a>. Here’s a look at some of the best big games<\/strong> releasing in the coming year.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Forspoken<\/a><\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Forspoken is an amazing action game<\/strong>. It is developed by Luminous Productions and is one of the first big games to release in 2023. This role-playing game is scheduled to be released on January 24th, 2023. It will be available on Windows and Playstation 5.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The gameplay is said to focus on fluidity and terrain speed<\/strong>. It is described as a narrative-driven action game where the main character, Frey, will live in an open world and can travel anytime, anywhere.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The character will have access to magic spells and will earn experience points after winning combats. Players can upgrade the character’s cloak to improve her stats and efficiency.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom<\/a><\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Tears of the Kingdom is a sequel to the successful Breath of the Wild which was released in 2017. Tears of the Kingdom is said to release on Nintendo Switch<\/strong> in May 2023.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

This game’s development began back in 2017 after Breath of the Wild was completed. Nintendo released the game trailer <\/strong>in 2021 and announced a release date of 2022. However, this was later pushed to 2023. This action-adventure game will have some new elements like the floating islands and players can soar between these islands similar to the 2011 version – Skyward Sword.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The game is set in Eiyos (a continent) and features most of the same protagonists<\/strong>. These protagonists can be summoned using the Emblem Rings. The game is set to release on Nintendo Switch.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Hogwarts Legacy<\/a><\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Hogwarts Legacy will be released in 2023 on almost all platforms (Nintendo Switch, Xbox Series<\/strong> X\/S, Playstation 4 & 5, Windows, and Xbox<\/strong> One). This role-playing game is set in the Wizarding universe and is based on the Harry Potter movie series.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Players can attend wizardry classes and explore different areas such as Diagon Alley, Forbidden Forest, and Hogsmeade. The Wizard castle changes as the game progresses to indicate a change of season. When creating your character, you can choose its appearance, the house it belongs to, and its gender. You can even customize the character’s voice, body structure, and accessories.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Starfield<\/a><\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Starfield is an amazing role-playing game<\/strong> that is set to release in the first half of 2023. It will be released for the Xbox Series X\/S and Windows. The game is set in space in an area almost 50 light-years outside the solar system.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The year is 2310 in the game and features a conflict between the Freestar Collective and United Colonies. Players are part of an organization of space explorers called the Constellation. You can play the game in first person or even third person.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

STAR WARS Jedi: Survivor<\/a><\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n

STAR WARS Jedi: Survivor is developed by Respawn Entertainment and is the latest Electronic Arts (EA) game. The game is set to release in March 2023 on Windows, Playstation<\/strong> 5, and Xbox Series X<\/strong>\/S.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Survivor has many elements from previous Star Wars games and many new elements. For example, you have five fully realized stances available in lightsaber combat. Cal Kestis can use any of these stances. The Survivor also sees the return of the single and double-blade lightsaber from Fallen Order. The dial-wield single blade from Fallen Order has its fully-playable stance.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

A new Kylo Ren crossguard lightsaber is also added. This is slightly heavier and players need more confidence before using it.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Dead Island 2<\/a><\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Dead Island 2 is a sequel to the hit 2011 game, Dead Island. It is the third installment in this series after Dead Island and Dead Island: Riptide. The game is set a few months after the last two games ended.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The game is set in open-world San Francisco and Los Angeles. Dead Island 2 also comes with more features than the previous installments. This game features a stronger zombie outbreak and the entire city is quarantined.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
