Since its founding in 2012, it has not stopped extolling the careers of directors of great projection with cinematic milestones such as <strong>A Ghost Story by David Lowery<\/strong>, Moonlight by Sean Baker or<strong> Lady Bird by Greta Gerwig<\/strong>. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">One of its most important pieces is Ari Aster, director of Hereditary and Midsommar and one of the most influential figures in terror in recent years. After his first two films, in which he managed to make a name for himself in the industry and achieve huge box office successes, Aster has worked on Beau is Afraid, a film starring <a href=\"http:\/\/sftarticles.wpenginepowered.com\/en\/watch-final-joker-trailer-gives-us-first-look-at-robert-de-niro\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" title=\"Joaquin Phoenix\">Joaquin Phoenix<\/a> that promises to be even more disturbing than the previous ones.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">A24 has just released the trailer for the film and in it we can already see some clues that it may be the most successful Phoenix film since Joker. Chaos, terror, parent-child problems and a strange point of humor are combined in what seems to be a film, at least, up to the director&#8217;s previous ones.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-embed is-type-video is-provider-youtube wp-block-embed-youtube wp-block-embed-Youtube wp-embed-aspect-16-9 wp-has-aspect-ratio\"><div class=\"wp-block-embed__wrapper\">\n<iframe loading=\"lazy\" title=\"Trailer de Beau is Afraid subtitulado en espa\u00f1ol (HD)\" width=\"840\" height=\"473\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/AR9LeF0Ez5U?feature=oembed\" frameborder=\"0\" allow=\"accelerometer; autoplay; clipboard-write; encrypted-media; gyroscope; picture-in-picture; web-share\" allowfullscreen><\/iframe>\n<\/div><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">In the trailer we see some elements that help to play with the horror that Aster has accustomed us to. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">On the one hand, <strong>it uses CGI to rejuvenate Phoenix&#8217;s appearance<\/strong> at some points in the film, promising a generational story in which the passage of time will be very important. Of course, the image of Joaquin Phoenix as a child is not easily forgotten.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">On the other hand, we also<strong> see the occasional use of animated backgrounds<\/strong>, a resource that the director had not used until this film but that may be one of the keys to the terror that A Beau is Afraid provokes.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">And, finally, we see a <strong>narrative close to surrealism by directors like David Lynch<\/strong>, in which the sensations are even above the story, becoming a journey through an emotional and terrifying roller coaster. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">We will have to wait until April 21 for its premiere, but the hype has already skyrocketed.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-full\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/articles-img.sftcdn.net\/sft\/articles\/auto-mapping-folder\/sites\/2\/2023\/01\/beau-is-afraid_11zon.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-266236\" \/><\/figure>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>The production company A24 is giving us some of the best films of recent years.
