I can\u2019t believe it\u2019s already a few months since that fantastic day. Gamers and fans have been waiting since then to hear more about <a href=\"https:\/\/silent-hill-2.en.softonic.com\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Silent Hill 2<\/a> Remake, which appeared yesterday in a <strong>detailed interview<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>One of the interviewees was Motoi Okamoto, who happens to be the producer of the Silent Hill series. The concept artist and music composer for the original Silent Hill 2 were also at the interview, namely, Masahiro Ito and Akira Yamaoka. These are <strong>two legendary names<\/strong> every true SH fan knows.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Here\u2019s the complete interview:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-embed aligncenter is-type-video is-provider-youtube wp-block-embed-youtube wp-embed-aspect-16-9 wp-has-aspect-ratio\"><div class=\"wp-block-embed__wrapper\">\n<iframe loading=\"lazy\" title=\"Silent Hill 2 Remake Deep Dive with the Devs\" width=\"840\" height=\"473\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/Jwkd6umvP-Y?feature=oembed\" frameborder=\"0\" allow=\"accelerometer; autoplay; clipboard-write; encrypted-media; gyroscope; picture-in-picture; web-share\" allowfullscreen><\/iframe>\n<\/div><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>I was completely entranced when Masahiro Ito discussed his original art style and what he plans for the Silent Hill 2 Remake. It was so good to hear him speak about <strong>Pyramid Head<\/strong> and what the symbolic creature means to him.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The team also addressed why they started remaking Silent Hill 2 and not the first game. It\u2019s been a question on many of our minds since the announcement. Apparently, they wanted to begin with a game that<strong> resembles the real identity<\/strong> of the brand. According to Okamoto:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cWhen we thought about what Silent Hill&#8217;s identity is, we came to the conclusion that it&#8217;s the true <strong>psychological horror of the series<\/strong>. I know so many fans that swear Silent Hill 2 is the <strong>best game in the series<\/strong>, but my opinion differs. The one that scared and exhilarated me the most was <a href=\"https:\/\/silent-hill-4-the-room.en.softonic.com\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Silent Hill 4<\/a>. However, Silent Hill 1 was the first horror game that I fell in love with in 1998. While I\u2019ve played SH 2, it really wasn\u2019t that great for me.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>My opinions aside, all three interviewees are excited to work with the Bloober Team on the Silent Hill 2 remake project. The video also presents their thoughts on the <strong>upgraded visuals and new camera style<\/strong>. They want James to look older, as many of us that played the game back then are older now. Considering that <a href=\"https:\/\/en.softonic.com\/articles\/konami-starts-pulling-silent-hill-licenses\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Konami removed the permission for my Silent Hill novels<\/a> on the basis that the story isn\u2019t in line with their plans, I\u2019m left wondering how sincere they were with that offer.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>If you haven\u2019t been living under the proverbial rock, you should know by now that Konami announced several new Silent Hill games and movie in October 2022.
