The first movie, Black Panther, became a cultural phenomenon shortly after its release featuring the first black superhero. It made $1.3 billion and earned an Oscar. Since its release, we had to wait patiently to hear <strong>when it\u2019ll come to Disney+<\/strong>. The reason for the wait in receiving a confirmed release date is because the producers want to see how the movie does at the box office first. The better it does at the box office, the longer we wait for it to be released on Disney+. At the same time, they\u2019re <strong>also dealing with the death<\/strong> of <a href=\"https:\/\/en.softonic.com\/articles\/wakanda-forever-chadwick-boseman\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">King T\u2019Challa portrayed by Chadwick Boseman<\/a>. Throughout the story, we watch as the characters grieve the sudden loss, and continue to try and<strong> find a new way forward<\/strong> for their country.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">During the movie, we\u2019re also <strong>introduced to new characters<\/strong>, one of which will play an important role in the story. The wait isn\u2019t long anymore as Black Panther: Wakanda Forever will be <strong>released on the streaming service on Wednesday, February 1st<\/strong>. This long wait for a release date is great for the franchise and <strong>demonstrates the movie&#8217;s popularity<\/strong>. Furthermore, Black Panther: Wakanda Forever<strong> can only be streamed on Disney+<\/strong> and won\u2019t be released on other platforms like Netflix, Amazon Prime, Hulu, and others.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">While we love most of the Marvel Studios superhero movies, there\u2019s no denying that <strong>Black Panther set an unprecedented standard<\/strong>. It will be interesting to see how the second installment does without the lead from the first movie. However, we do appreciate that they didn\u2019t just use a new actor and pretend that nothing happened.
