In fact, so shocking was the discovery that all kinds of <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/en.softonic.com\/articles\/awesome-photos-comet-green\" title=\"spectacular photographs\">spectacular photographs<\/a><\/strong> were taken of the moment.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>However, not all of us had the pleasure of <a href=\"https:\/\/en.softonic.com\/articles\/asteroid-help-us-prevent-impact-other-asteroids-green-comet\" title=\"seeing the Green Comet\">seeing the Green Comet<\/a>. Whether it was because we couldn&#8217;t see it at the right time, because of light pollution or because we simply forgot, there are many of us who didn&#8217;t have the pleasure of seeing this space wonder. But if you have been left with the monkey to see some celestial body passing near the Earth, do not worry. Here are <strong>some alternatives<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">2023 Astronomical Calendar<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>Although some celestial phenomena are difficult to detect and we know nothing about them until a scientist discovers them, <strong>every year an <a href=\"https:\/\/astronomia.ign.es\/rknowsys-theme\/images\/webAstro\/paginas\/documentos\/Agendas_Astronomicas\/Agenda_astronomica_2023.pdf\" title=\"astronomical calendar\">astronomical calendar<\/a> is published with the highlights of the year<\/strong>. Thanks to this calendar we can know when we can look at the sky and find a space wonder, although in most cases we must use a telescope or binoculars.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>In this astronomical calendar <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/en.softonic.com\/articles\/next-green-comet-when-it-will-be\" title=\"we see different phenomena\">we see different phenomena<\/a><\/strong>, which we define below so that you know exactly what you are seeing when you look at the sky:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li><strong>Star showers<\/strong>: also called &#8220;meteor showers&#8221; (this name is actually more correct) are caused by the irradiation of several meteors from a specific point in the night sky. But, basically, it is the transitory occultation, total or partial, of a star due to the interposition of another star or to the passage of the first one through the shadow cast by another one.<\/li><li><strong>Equinoxes<\/strong>: another phenomenon we have every year are the spring and autumn equinoxes, spectacular moments to photograph. This is the time of the year when the sun forms a perpendicular axis with the equator and when the length of the day is equal to the length of the night throughout the Earth.<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>The astronomical calendar also publishes many other events, such as full moons or the times when the other planets of the Solar System are visible from a telescope. If you like photography, know that this is the best time to take pictures of the zodiacal light.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>April 20<\/strong>: Total eclipse (hybrid of the Sun). It is a solar eclipse that can be seen from Earth. It is a phenomenon that does not happen too much: the next one will be in April 2024.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>April 22-23<\/strong>: Lyrid Meteor Shower.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>May 5-6<\/strong>: Penumbral lunar eclipse (only visible from some locations on the planet).<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>June 21<\/strong>: Summer Solstice.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>July 30-31<\/strong>: Delta Aquarid Meteor Shower.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Au<strong>gust 1<\/strong>: Supermoon. It is called this when the full moon or new moon has the closest approach to Earth, and it is when we can see the satellite the largest.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>August 12-13<\/strong>: Perseid Meteor Shower.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>August 31<\/strong>: Supermoon.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>September 23<\/strong>: Autumn Equinox.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>October 14<\/strong>: Partial solar eclipse.
