Keep an eye out, there are “little things coming” in the world of technology. Google<\/strong> has organized a 40-minute event for this February 8<\/strong> that will feature AI<\/strong> as the protagonist.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

According to The Verge<\/a><\/strong>, which has been one of the invited media, the digital event will be about “using the power of AI to reimagine the way people search, explore and interact with information, making finding what you need more natural and intuitive than ever.”<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Sundar Pichai<\/strong>, the CEO of Google and Alphabet<\/strong> (its parent company), promised in his recent quarterly report to investors that “very soon people will be able to interact directly with our newest and most powerful language models<\/strong> as a Search companion in experimental and innovative ways.”<\/p>\n\n\n\n

This vision of the company’s future, in which “new language models” (AI) are a core element<\/strong>, is largely motivated by the enormous popularity that ChatGPT, a new artificial language model developed by OpenAI and specialized in dialogue and text writing, is gaining over the days. A chatbot to which you can ask any question and which will answer you with a very well elaborated text.<\/p>\n\n\n

The popularity of this type of AI has reached such a point that, at the beginning of January, Google brought its co-founders, Larry Page<\/strong> and Sergey Brin<\/strong>, out of retirement<\/a> to help create a product that could compete against ChatGPT. And no wonder, since, according to the creator of Gmail himself, the chatbot could mean the end of Google in two years<\/a><\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Google may be only a year or two away from total disruption. AI will eliminate the Search Engine Result Page, which is where they make most of their money.
