On the afternoon of Tuesday, February 7, Microsoft announced that artificial intelligence will be present both in its famous search engine and in the browser. This event, which as we say the company has taken out of the hat, has served to present all the news related to AI and Microsoft products<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

“It’s a new day in search engines,” said Satya Nadella<\/strong>, CEO of Microsoft, at the official unveiling. From now on, Bing<\/a> is going to offer a new “chat” feature, so that users can ask questions and receive relevant answers<\/strong>. All this will be achieved thanks to GPT-4<\/strong>, the latest version of textual AI.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

According to the company, the search paradigm has not changed over the last 20 years, hence the arrival of AI could mean a big change in this regard<\/strong>, especially after the fight it has with Google to steal part of the pie<\/a>. In the presentation, it was commented that the company has been working since 2017<\/strong> to integrate artificial intelligence within Bing (and with OpenAI for three years<\/strong>). Therefore, this is not a random step taken, but has been under study for more than five years. In addition, it has also been indicated that AI has been used in programs such as Word<\/a>, where it has gradually been experimented with slight changes.<\/p>\n\n\n

The arrival of AI in Bing is not the only one. As mentioned above, the Edge browser<\/a> also receives its own integration. From now on, its design is modified with a new interface. In this, the top corner shows an icon that leaves no room for doubt, all mimicked with the characteristic design of Windows 11<\/a>. The idea is that both Bing and Edge go in unison and complement each other, that is, they are not different branches.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
