With HomeKit, you can control all the smart home devices you have at home. The previous version of HomeKit that we already received premiered a new architecture, but it was eventually withdrawn. Performance problems when connecting devices and its poor performance caused it to be withdrawn.

A new version of HomeKit is in development

Apple has not explained what we will see in the new HomeKit, but it is expected to improve performance and solve the problems previously experienced by users. It would also not be unusual to see some functions dedicated exclusively to the new HomePod just launched by Apple and thus, take advantage of its temperature and humidity sensors.

Definitely seems like it https://t.co/6ENJtP8pGJ pic.twitter.com/cFHQ7f1IZF
— Aaron (@aaronp613) January 24, 2023

Even so, we still have no official confirmation from Apple.
