Apple users have no more nails to bite: iOS 16.4<\/strong>, the new iPhone<\/strong> operating system, is just around the corner<\/a>. If recently we could see the new features of the recent iOS 16.3.1<\/strong><\/a>, which came to solve some of the (many) problems that iOS 16.3<\/strong> had at its launch<\/a>, we also had the opportunity to discover the new emoticons<\/strong> that will bring 16.4 in its release.<\/p>\n\n\n

Now, beta 1 of iOS 16.4 <\/strong>is publicly available<\/a> and diehard fans of the brand can test it (it is important to remember that it is a beta and can give many bugs). Are you interested to know what it includes? We tell you.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

A beta full of surprises<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

First, iOS 16.4 beta 1 flaunts Unicode 15.0<\/strong> support, adding a new batch of emoticons<\/strong> including a pink heart, a Wi-Fi symbol, a donkey, a moose, a pink heart and a quivering face, among many others.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Apple’s Podcasts app<\/strong> will receive a number of enhancements: a new Channels menu, accessible through Library, which allows content creators to list all their podcasts in one place, and new features for Up Next<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In iOS 16.4 beta 1 you will be able to check the warranty status<\/strong> of your Apple products, such as Apple Watch<\/strong>, AirPods<\/strong> and other accessories. You can check it in Settings – General – About – Coverage.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Although this does not affect us Spanish users in principle, beta 1 of iOS 16.4 allows 5G to be activated for iPhone users residing in Turkey<\/strong>, as well as for mobiles on the network of T-Mobile<\/strong>, a U.S. phone operator.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

If you add websites and web apps from Safari<\/strong>, Chrome<\/strong> or other browsers to the home screen, they will be able to send push notifications<\/strong> in iOS 16.4 beta 1. You will also be able to see the number of unread notifications on these websites, which will appear next to the icons as with all other apps.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Apple is also bringing back the HomeKit architecture<\/strong>, updating it after problems in the early days of iOS 16.2<\/strong>. According to Apple, this new architecture will improve the “performance and reliability of your home accessories.”<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Finally, there are some minor features that will appeal to many users, such as a new Always on Display focus filter<\/strong>, as well as the ability to see the battery consumption<\/strong> of this feature, and a widget to track the orders you place with the Wallet<\/strong> app.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
