In addition to announcing an <a href=\"https:\/\/en.softonic.com\/articles\/artificial-intelligence-spotify-dj\">AI-powered music recommendation feature, known as <strong>&#8220;DJ&#8221;<\/strong><\/a>, just this week we learned about a new <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Non-fungible_token\">NFT<\/a><\/strong>-based feature. In addition, only <strong>Android<\/strong> users can make use of it, due to <strong>Apple&#8217;s<\/strong> strict regulations with the apps published in its App Store, which restrict the implementation of NFT features.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-image aligncenter size-full\"><figure class=\"aligncenter size-full\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/articles-img.sftcdn.net\/sft\/articles\/auto-mapping-folder\/sites\/2\/2023\/02\/Spotify-NFT-playlist-Overlord.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-273400\" \/><\/figure><\/div>\n\n\n\n<p>In addition to Kingship, other metaverse and cryptocurrency communities such as <strong>Overlord, Fluf and Kevin Rose&#8217;s Moonbirds<\/strong> are also making use of this feature and creating playlists that can only be unlocked by NFT owners.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Spotify confirmed to the TechCrunch portal that this is <strong>one of the many tests being conducted<\/strong> by the music streaming platform, and that at the moment it is an <strong>exclusive feature for Spotify Premium users<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>&#8220;At Spotify, we routinely conduct a number of tests in an effort to improve our user experience. Some of these end up paving the way for our broader user experience and others just serve as important learnings.
