TikTok<\/strong>, the popular short video app, is launching a new way for content creators to earn money on the platform. If we recently reported on initiatives such as the TikTok Trivia<\/a><\/strong> contest or Creativity Program<\/a><\/strong>, aimed at encouraging the creation of longer videos on the social network, this week, the company has launched TikTok Series<\/a><\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n

TikTok Series is a new program that allows content creators to make collections of videos that can be purchased<\/strong>. Each of the collections can hold up to 80 videos<\/strong>, with a maximum length of 20 minutes<\/strong>. The price of each collection will be set by the content creator, ranging from $1 to $190, and fans will be able to purchase them through the creators’ profiles or through links they insert in their videos.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

For now, TikTok will not take any commissions<\/strong> on the money content creators earn from the program, although they will lose the portion associated with processing fees and app stores, which set their own commissions for in-app purchases<\/strong>. Although purchases must be made through the app, content creators will also have a program website at their disposal where they can publish videos and track their performance.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
