A new headset has arrived in the Android world that promises to give war to the well-known Apple<\/a> AirPods<\/a>: the OnePlus Buds Pro 2 Series<\/strong>. Manufactured by OnePlus<\/a>, these are the first headphones on the market compatible with Google<\/a>‘s new spatial sound technology<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

A pleasing and well-built design<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Aesthetically, the OnePlus Buds Pro 2 Series are quite pleasing to the eye and follow a very modern design line. OnePlus sells them in three colors: Obsidian Black, Arbor Green and Misty White<\/strong> (or what is the same: black, green and white). Both the helmets and the case weigh very little, so you will be able to wear them comfortably. They have a matte NCL coating and polished indium plates, which creates a premium feel in the hand.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Spatial audio and noise cancellation<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

As we mentioned at the beginning, the Buds Pro 2 are the first headphones on the entire market to support Google<\/a>‘s new spatial audio technology. Integrated with Android 13, it works in a similar way to Apple’s AirPods<\/a>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Thanks to their sensors, the Buds Pro 2 can follow the position of your head according to the device you are using. This way, if you are watching a movie and turn your head, the sound will be left behind (as if you were not wearing headphones). Just don’t get frustrated if you see that it doesn’t work with certain applications or games: in these cases, it’s up to the developer to make them compatible with spatial audio.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Buds Pro 2 also feature active noise cancellation<\/strong> and it adapts depending on the environment you are in. Although they can’t compete in that sense with more complete helmets, the cancellation it performs is quite decent considering its price<\/strong> (which we’ll talk about later).<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Headphone control and autonomy<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

To control the headphones we will use their earpieces, with which we will be able to interact. These are pressure-sensitive and can be used to activate or cancel noise cancellation. As with most modern headphones, if we remove one of them, the music is paused automatically. As a negative aspect, it is necessary to mention that we will not be able to adjust the volume and for that we will have to use our phone or tablet.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

According to the information that OnePlus<\/strong> shows us on its website<\/a>, the OnePlus Buds Pro 2 can last up to 39 hours<\/strong> if we combine it with charging the case. On their own, we can use them for about 9 hours if we do not have noise cancellation activated. Otherwise, the headphones will last 6 hours<\/strong>. And for calls, the autonomy drops to 4 hours<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Connectivity<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

When it comes to connectivity, the Buds Pro 2 are more than up to the task. They support the latest version of Bluetooth 5.3<\/strong> with Fast Pair<\/strong> for Android and have AAC, LC3, SBC and LHDC<\/strong> audio standards, making them compatible with many different devices.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

To work without cuts, the maximum distance that we should not exceed with our mobile is 10 meters<\/strong>. OnePlus also wanted to emphasize its low latency, so we will not perceive hardly any delay (something especially useful if you play competitive titles).<\/p>\n\n\n\n
