That Capcom has found a vein with the remakes of Resident Evil 4 Remake<\/a><\/strong> is an indisputable reality. After the magnificent work done with Resident Evil 2 Remake<\/a><\/strong> and Resident Evil 3 Remake<\/a><\/strong>, the Japanese company got to work on the fourth part, an installment that even suffered a reboot due to problems in its development. In view of this, this step backwards has been a great success: the launch sales of Resident Evil 4 Remake are even higher than those of the original<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n

According to the information revealed by Games Industry<\/a> for the UK market, the Resident Evil 4 remake has sold 29% more than the original GameCube release<\/strong> in 2005. Of course, this percentage has a “trick”, since this remake is released for PlayStation (PS4 and PS5), Xbox (X | S Series) and PC consoles, that is, a greater number of platforms<\/strong> than the game of almost two decades ago.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

However, there is a fact that plays in favor of the remake, and it is that the sales that are counted are only physical<\/strong>, that is to say, digital sales are excluded. On the other hand, in 2005 everything sold was physical<\/strong>. Taking into account that the percentage of current sales is approximately 30% for physical and 70% for digital (Capcom data), only with this hypothetical 30% has already been sold more than everything in 2005. Likewise, everything points to the fact that the sales of Resident Evil 4 Remake have been much higher<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

We will have to wait for details from Capcom to know how this remake has sold in global terms. Of course, it has had more players than Resident Evil Village<\/a> on Steam<\/a>, a sign that the numbers are very high. And all this without leaving the Mercenary mode<\/a>.<\/p>\n\n\n
