That day is about to come.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">What happens if I lose my legacy check mark?<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Part of Twitter Blue&#8217;s sales pitch is that it will help accounts &#8220;skyrocket in replies, mentions and searches.&#8221; In addition, the &#8220;For You&#8221; feed, the default view for the social network&#8217;s users, will stop recommending content from accounts that are not verified, Musk tweeted Monday.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-embed is-type-rich is-provider-twitter wp-block-embed-twitter\"><div class=\"wp-block-embed__wrapper\">\n<blockquote class=\"twitter-tweet\" data-width=\"550\" data-dnt=\"true\"><p lang=\"en\" dir=\"ltr\">Starting April 15th, only verified accounts will be eligible to be in For You recommendations.<br><br>The is the only realistic way to address advanced AI bot swarms taking over. This could have a big impact on the platform, as it would shift the focus from popularity feeds &#8211; leveraging creators with the most followers &#8211; to paid.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Unverified users will also not be able to participate in any polls that Twitter conducts<\/strong>.
