Of all the artificial intelligences on the market, there are two that stand out above the rest due, above all, to how incredibly popular they have become in a very short time: ChatGPT<\/strong>, created by the software company OpenAI<\/strong>, and Bing<\/a><\/strong>, which although you may remember it as the search engine that competed with Google<\/a><\/strong>, is now back in the form of a chatbot<\/strong> that you can consult things by talking to it as if it were a person.<\/p>\n\n\n

But you will ask yourself with all the reason in the world: “How do the two differ? Well, although it may not seem so at first glance, they differ in quite a few ways, and that’s because both are based on “sister” artificial languages<\/strong>, created by OpenAI. To begin with, ChatGPT is based on an artificial language model called GPT-3.5<\/a><\/strong>, while the “new Bing” is based on GPT-4<\/strong><\/a>. Yes, as you will see, one uses a newer version than the other<\/a>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Of course, the use to which each is put is very different. Although both are very similar AIs, ChatGPT is designed to generate text of all types<\/strong> (including movie scripts<\/a>, term papers<\/a> or political speeches<\/a>), giving it indications of what it should create. On the other hand, Bing’s AI is more search-oriented<\/strong>, generating text in a human-like language that gathers information from all over the Internet about whatever you ask it about, including linking to sources of information.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Access to both artificial intelligences is also different. That is, while ChatGPT is available from the OpenAI website<\/a><\/strong>, to access the Bing chatbot you have two main options: through its dedicated website<\/a> or through Microsoft Edge<\/strong><\/a>, Microsoft’s browser. In both cases you will need to have a user account<\/strong>, although you can register and log in to all of them with the same Microsoft email. Oh, and the Bing chatbot is also available in the mobile versions of Bing and Edge<\/a>, in case you use your mobile more than your PC.<\/p>\n\n\n

Another important aspect is that both have certain limits when it comes to their use. Indeed, you will not be able to use the AIs to talk about everything you want, but this is not exactly a drama. ChatGPT, on the one hand, can be used daily as much as you want, but the text you write must contain less than 500 words or 4,000 characters<\/strong>. On the other hand, in Bing you will have a maximum of 60 chats per day, as well as a maximum of 6 messages per chat<\/a><\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n

Finally, although ChatGPT is more versatile in the results it offers, the Bing chatbot extracts its information from a multitude of Internet sources<\/strong>, in addition to offering three different conversation modes<\/a>, with which you can have conversations with different tones as you wish.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
