David Cronenberg<\/a><\/strong> is one of those filmmakers who, despite not making the headlines, comes back into the limelight from time to time. The last time he did so was just a few months ago, when he released his film Crimes of the Future<\/strong> and brought body horror back into fashion. Now, he is back in the spotlight for the remake of one of his most celebrated films: Dead Ringers<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n

Starring the eccentric Jeremy Irons<\/strong>, the original film dates from 1988 and tells how two identical twins who operate together substitute in everyday life to help each other. It is a cult film that features several plot twists and, as usual with Cronenberg, lots of gore.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Now, a remake of the film is about to arrive in the form of an Amazon Prime Video<\/a> series starring Rachel Weisz<\/strong>. However, the fiction will be very different from what we saw in the original film, at least from what it looks like in its first trailer.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
