Many were able to do so when <a href=\"https:\/\/en.softonic.com\/articles\/brendan-frasers-speech-for-the-whale\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">The Whale<\/a>, the Darren Aronofsky film that led him to the statuette, was released in theaters. But the rest will have to wait for its arrival on platforms.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">But <strong>when will we be able to see The Whale on any <a href=\"https:\/\/en.softonic.com\/s\/television-programs\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">VOD service<\/a>?<\/strong> And on what platform will it be released? Below we will answer both questions with what we know.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-embed is-type-video is-provider-youtube wp-block-embed-youtube wp-embed-aspect-16-9 wp-has-aspect-ratio\"><div class=\"wp-block-embed__wrapper\">\n<iframe loading=\"lazy\" title=\"The Whale | Official Trailer HD | A24\" width=\"840\" height=\"473\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/D30r0CwtIKc?feature=oembed\" frameborder=\"0\" allow=\"accelerometer; autoplay; clipboard-write; encrypted-media; gyroscope; picture-in-picture; web-share\" allowfullscreen><\/iframe>\n<\/div><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">When will The Whale be released on platforms?<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">There is no doubt that <strong>audiences are waiting for The Whale to be released on platforms<\/strong>. No wonder, as it has become the best-selling Oscars film in physical format through <a href=\"https:\/\/amazon-mobile.en.softonic.com\/android\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Amazon<\/a>. In addition, some films from the ceremony such as The Banshees of Inisherin are already streaming &#8211; specifically on <a href=\"https:\/\/en.softonic.com\/articles\/papa-disney-plus-premieres-week\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Disney Plus<\/a>. So <strong>what about Fraser&#8217;s film?<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Considering when its release date was (Jan. 27), you could figure about two months for its streaming release, but that would have meant its release would have been in late March. However, it is most likely that the great success at <strong>the <a href=\"https:\/\/en.softonic.com\/articles\/chronicle-oscars-2023-all-everything-everywhere-all-at-once-brendan-fraser\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Oscars<\/a> has caused its delay<\/strong> in order to scrape something more at the box office.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Thus, the film will most likely arrive during the month of May. The blu-ray from Amazon will start shipping from <strong>May 19<\/strong>, so we could estimate an approximate date for its wide release. At the very least, it could arrive at the end of April, although we estimate a few more weeks.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-large\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" href=\"https:\/\/en.softonic.com\/articles\/beau-is-afraid-trailer-for-the-new-by-ari-aster-with-a-disturbing-joaquin-phoenix\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">A24<\/a>&#8216;s premieres are released on different platforms, and <a href=\"https:\/\/en.softonic.com\/articles\/secret-invasion-trailer-disney-plus\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Disney Plus<\/a> has hosted many of them in recent years, I&#8217;m sorry to tell you that on this occasion <strong>none of the international platforms have the rights<\/strong> to distribute them.<\/p>\n\n\n<div The platform has announced that it has the rights to Brendan Fraser&#8217;s film, and will be the one to premiere it for at least three months. And yes, you can forget about watching it with your <a href=\"https:\/\/en.softonic.com\/articles\/why-we-are-obsessed-with-crazy-glamour-the-case-of-georgina\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Netflix<\/a>, <a href=\"https:\/\/en.softonic.com\/articles\/if-you-like-musicals-you-have-to-schmigadoon-season-2\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Apple TV+<\/a> or <a href=\"https:\/\/en.softonic.com\/articles\/avatar-2-now-available-streaming-platforms\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Amazon Prime Video<\/a> subscription.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Instead, <strong>it will also be available on Amazon Prime Video, Apple TV+, Filmin<\/strong>, <strong>Microsoft Store and <a href=\"https:\/\/google-play-store.en.softonic.com\/android\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Google Play<\/a><\/strong> for digital rental and purchase. His are other works such as Mother! (2017), Black Swan (2011), Requiem for a Dream (2001) or The Fountain of Life (2007).<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">This is one of Aronofsky&#8217;s most intimate films, and practically all of it takes place in the protagonist&#8217;s home, but thanks to its restraint and great performances it manages to be equally spectacular.
