Last Wednesday, April 5, the new adventure of Mario and Luigi was released in theaters: “The Super Mario Bros. Movie”<\/a>. The box office figures have started to come out and it is time to analyze them. Was it a flop or a success?<\/p>\n\n\n

Nintendo and Universal have made history with the biggest worldwide opening since records have been kept for an animated title<\/strong> with $377.5 million.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Of the nearly $380 million, $172.8 million came from the international box office. In other words, almost half of the money was split between the United States and the rest of the world<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
