In September 2022, Apple released the iPhone 14, iPhone 14 Plus, iPhone 14 Pro and iPhone 14 Pro Max models to the market. However, rumors about the iPhone 15 began circulating even before these devices were introduced. Now, even though the iPhone 15 launch is several months away, several details about what we can expect have already leaked out.

We expect Apple to continue with a four-model iPhone lineup, releasing the iPhone 15, iPhone 15 Plus, iPhone 15 Pro and iPhone 15 Pro Max. As with the previous generation, the Pro models will have exclusive features not available on the cheaper iPhone 15 devices.

What will the new iPhone 15s look like?

Screen sizes will remain identical to the previous generation. The iPhone 15 and iPhone 15 Pro will measure 6.1 inches, while the iPhone 15 Plus and iPhone 15 Pro Max will have a 6.7-inch display. The Pro models are expected to feature an updated design, with thinner, curved bezels and a new titanium chassis. Apple is also expected to incorporate solid-state buttons that use haptic feedback to simulate the sensation of pressing a button.

The 3-nanometer A17 chip would be exclusive to the iPhone 15 Pro and Pro Max models, while the iPhone 15s will use the same A16 chip found in the iPhone 14 Pro and Pro Max. More RAM is also expected to arrive along with the A17 chip. Beyond that, all iPhone 15 models will feature the Dynamic Island and will transition from Lightning to USB-C connector.

As for photography, which should be a major part of Apple’s focus for these new models. Both iPhone 15s with the last name Pro will include telephoto lens technology as part of their three-camera array, but only the iPhone 15 Pro Max will have a periscope lens that will allow, according to rumors, a 6x optical zoom, a significant improvement over the 3x zoom on the iPhone 14 Pro models. That’s without losing sight of the fact that some rumors speak of a zoom of up to 10x or 20x.

What prices will the new iPhone 15 have

On pricing, rumors are rather more diffuse. Tech analyst Jeff Pu suggests that the iPhone 15 Pro and Pro Max models could be more expensive than the iPhone 14 Pro and Pro Max due to improvements in components and features. These advancements include the titanium frame, solid-state buttons, A17 chip and more, though it shouldn’t be because of the cameras.
