If you like the rally world<\/a> you probably know who he is, because Craig Breen was not just another driver, he was one of the greats of the championship and one of the best drivers of the whole circuit. Today, April 13, 2023, he died due to a car accident<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n

The factory Hyundai driver went off the road today during a team test in Croatia<\/strong> and succumbed to injuries sustained in the accident. His co-driver, James Fulton, was miraculously unhurt in the accident.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Breen was preparing for his second WRC start of the season as Hyundai’s third driver after rejoining the South Korean marque for the second time following a full season with Ford last year.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The 33-year-old Irishman finished second at Rally Sweden in February<\/strong>, in what was his first WRC appearance of the season.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

That place equaled the best result of his WRC career after scoring second places in Sweden 2018, Estonia, 2020-2021, Belgium 2021 and Sardinia 2022.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
