What&#8217;s going on? Simple: <a href=\"https:\/\/en.softonic.com\/articles\/look-a-hacker\">hackers<\/a> have discovered a way to inject malware through these charging stations. This is what the official Denver FBI account has reported: &#8220;bad actors have figured out how to use public charging stations to install malware and tracking software&#8221;.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-embed is-type-rich is-provider-twitter wp-block-embed-twitter\"><div class=\"wp-block-embed__wrapper\">\n<blockquote class=\"twitter-tweet\" data-width=\"550\" data-dnt=\"true\"><p lang=\"en\" dir=\"ltr\">Avoid using free charging stations in airports, hotels or shopping centers. Bad actors have figured out ways to use public USB ports to introduce malware and monitoring software onto devices. The Federal Communications Commission (FCC) itself also repeats the same warning, stating that hackers can place malware in the USB ports of charging stations and maliciously access the machines.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">What can we do to keep our cell phones safe?<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Hackers and computer baiters lurk around every corner, and they perpetrate their attacks in the most imaginative ways.
