We have seen <strong>l<a href=\"https:\/\/en.softonic.com\/articles\/ios-17-news-rumors\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">eaks of the new features it will bring<\/a><\/strong> and the truth is that many of us are<strong> ready to install the first beta as soon as it comes out<\/strong>. Initially, the change was made with iOS and iPadOS, but now it is also coming to macOS and watchOS. In other words: <strong>goodbye to macOS 14 betas if you are not a developer.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Developer beta for developers only<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>This new beta installation method replaces the profiles that have previously been used to install both developer and public updates for watchOS and macOS. Developers and public beta participants enrolled in Apple&#8217;s respective programs <strong>can activate beta updates directly from the system settings on the Mac<\/strong> and from the software update section in the Watch app on the iPhone linked to the watch.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-large\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/articles-img.sftcdn.net\/sft\/articles\/auto-mapping-folder\/sites\/2\/2023\/04\/Captura-de-pantalla-2023-04-14-a-las-10.05.42-1024x787.png\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-283135\" \/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>So, while we already knew this for iOS 17 and iPadOS 17, we now also know that when watchOS 10 and macOS 14 are announced, the Apple ID requirement will prevent those who do not have a developer account from installing the developer betas. This is a way to <strong>prevent beta bugs from affecting devices that should not be affected.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>So, if we want to try macOS 14 when it is unveiled on June 5 at the <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/en.softonic.com\/articles\/wwdc-what-is\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">developer conference<\/a><\/strong> without having to wait the usual two months until the
