Developed by Toran Bruce Richards<\/strong> and published on GitHub<\/a>, this open source application is capable of performing tasks with almost no human intervention. Yes, that’s right. Although it is based on ChatGPT, it differs from ChatGPT in that it is capable of making decisions on its own: it feeds back from the initial “prompt” you would have typed in the first place. On GitHub, AutoGPT is said to be designed to “autonomously achieve any goal you set for it”<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Anyone can install AutoGPT<\/a> on their computer, but you’ll need to know some Python programming to set it up properly. So how is AutoGPT different from ChatGPT?<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Although ChatGPT<\/a> and AutoGPT are based on the same technology, they differ in their functionality. What distinguishes AutoGPT from ChatGPT is that it can run autonomously, without the need for human intervention. However, ChatGPT does require constant instructions in order to function.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

How does AutoGPT work?<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

AutoGPT also uses the ChatGPT<\/a> API, but unlike ChatGPT, it has the advantage of being able to access the Internet to collect data (just like the new Bing<\/a> does). It also has short and long term memory to be able to run alone efficiently. However, the most impressive thing is that it integrates 11 Labs, a system that generates synthesized voices<\/a>. So yes, you can make AutoGPT talk<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The tool has the added feature of AI agents. These agents can be programmed<\/a> to make decisions and execute actions based on a set of predefined rules and objectives. If we make a simile, it would be like having a personal assistant that can perform specific tasks on your behalf (send emails, organize your calendar, etc).<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Numerous experts are already pointing to AutoGPT<\/a> as the lighthouse to follow in the field of artificial intelligences. In fact, Andrej Karpathy<\/strong> (former head of the AI division within Tesla) explains on Twitter that the future lies in AutoGPT<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
